Professor Misir Mardanov Had a Seminar for Our Students

Director of the Institute of Mechanics and Mathematics of ANAS Misir Mardanov delivered a lecture at the Western Caspian University on the life and work of selectionist, genetic scientist, Professor Ahmad Rajabli, who was one of the students sent by the government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1919 to study at the world's leading universities at the expense of the state; was a 1916 graduate of the Yerevan Gymnasium; entered the medical faculty of Moscow State University in 1918; after studying there for a year, he passed the exam and entered the Petrovsk-Razumovsky Academy; then left for Baku due to financial difficulties; was admitted to the Agricultural Institute in Perugia, Italy, where he graduated in 1923; spent his 12 years in exile in Siberia and Kazakhstan; served Azerbaijani science with honor until the end of his life.

Afterwards, the guest answered the students' questions and donated a number of his books to the university library.
