Unveiling the Historical and Philosophical Dimensions of the March 31 Genocide: An Academic-Practical Seminar Organized by Western Caspian University's Department of History and Philosophy

A seminar dedicated to the March 31 Genocide was conducted under the organization of Western Caspian University's Department of History and Philosophy.
The seminar was opened with an introductory speech by Professor Huseyn Bagirov, who shed light on the historical roots, causes, and objectives of the planned acts of genocide perpetrated against Azerbaijanis by Armenian-Dashnak forces in 1918. He emphasized the necessity of researching the overlooked aspects of this event from a scientific perspective and highlighted its significance as an integral part of our nation's struggle for freedom and integrity.
During the seminar, Arif Aliyev, the President of the "New Generation Journalists Union," discussed "The March Genocide in Azerbaijani and Caucasian Media," while Adigozel Mammadov, a faculty member of the Department of International Relations and Political Science, spoke about "Eyewitness Accounts of the March Genocide." Faculty members from the Department of History and Philosophy, Arif Alizadeh, and Zahid Valiyev, presented on "The Collaborative Activities of Armenian-Dashnak and Aysor in the Commission of the Urmia Genocide" and "Legal Aspects of the March Genocide," respectively, providing insights into the political, ideological, historical, and legal aspects of the event.
