On May 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM, an international scientific conference entitled “Peoples, Territories, and States in and around the Caucasus” will be held at Western Caspian University. The conference aims to bring together local and international scholars and researchers working in the fields of history, culture, anthropology, archaeology, literature, and political representation related to the Caucasus and surrounding regions. It seeks to provide a platform for the presentation of research findings, academic discussions, and the development of international scholarly cooperation.

The conference is expected to host distinguished scholars and researchers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Azerbaijan.

Accepted papers will be published in Reconstructing the Past: Journal of Historical Studies, a periodical scientific journal included in the list of academic journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (AAK) for publication purposes.

Guidelines for Authors:

Conference Languages: Azerbaijani and English

Paper Formatting Requirements:

• Length: 6–12 pages, paper size: A4, font: Times New Roman, size 12 margins: 2.0 cm on all sides, line spacing: 1.5, paragraph indentation: 1.25 cm
• If the paper is submitted in English, an abstract in Azerbaijani must be included at the end of the article.

Structure of the Paper:

• Title of the article: uppercase letters, bold, font size 14
• Author’s surname, first name, and patronymic: bold, font size 12
• Name of the institution and city: regular font, size 11
• Author’s e-mail address and ORCID ID
• Keywords: up to 5 words or phrases
• In-text citations should be provided in parentheses indicating the author’s surname, year of publication, and page number
• References must be formatted according to APA 7 standards
