Students of Western Caspian University's High Technology and Innovative Engineering School explore Aquatic Biology and Aquaculture Studies under the guidance of Faculty Members

Second and third-year students of the "Water Bioresources and Aquaculture" specialisation at Western Caspian University's High Technology and Innovative Engineering School, recently participated in a series of lectures and research activities at the university's Caspian Sea Problems Scientific Research Centre under the leadership of Professor Mahmud Humbatov and Könül Ahmadova,  PhD holders in biology and faculty members of the Department of Natural Sciences.
During their time at the centre, the students collected hydrobiological materials and conducted preliminary processing on them followed by a microscopic analysis of same. They also attended lectures on hydrobiology, planktonology, marine flora, and aquaculture of aquatic animals.
The experience provided an excellent opportunity for the students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-life settings, and to learn from experienced professionals in the field. The research activities and lectures were designed to enhance the students' understanding of the complex and critical issues surrounding aquatic biology and aquaculture.
This hands-on approach to education is a hallmark of Western Caspian University, which strives to provide its students with a comprehensive and practical education that prepares them for success in their chosen fields. Through initiatives such as this, the university continues to foster a culture of innovation, research, and academic excellence.
