In 2011, Azer Gasimov was admitted to the Faculty of Theology at Baku State University, majoring in "Arabic Language Translation," and graduated with a bachelors degree in 2015. In 2016, he was admitted to the masters program in "Islamic Studies" at the same faculty and successfully completed the program with honors in 2018. In 2021, he was admitted to the doctoral program in "History and Philosophy of Religion" at the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology.
Since 2021, he has been serving as a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Law at Western Caspian University. As of 2024, he has been teaching at the Department of Psychology and Social Work at the same university. He has presented scholarly papers at various national and international conferences. He is the author of one teaching program and eight academic articles and theses.
