Gurbanova Lala Maharram was born on September 12, 1973 in Baku. In 1980-1990, she received secondary education at school No. 18. In 1992-1997, she received higher education at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University. In 1997-2001, she was a postgraduate student at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. In 2011, she defended her dissertation on the topic “Physical and chemical properties of catalase and peroxidase biomimetic sensors” under the supervision of academician TM Nagiyev and received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. She was engaged in scientific activities at the scientific research institutes of ANAS “Molecular Biology and Biotechnology”, “Botany”, “Physiology”, “Problems of Chemistry”. He worked as the head and quality manager of the “Central Food and Non-Food Testing Laboratory” of the Consumer Goods Expertise Center of the Ministry of Economy, and the quality manager of the Baku Regional Testing Laboratory No. 1 of the State Committee for Food and Drug Safety. Since 2018, he has been working as a full time teacher at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Western Caspian University. He is the author of 45 scientific articles, subject programs, and a patent of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
