In 1983, he was admitted to the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (then called the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry), Faculty of Automation of Production Processes, majoring in “Applied Mathematics”. He served in the military service from 1984 to 1986. In 1990, he graduated from the University with honors and was assigned to the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and was hired as an engineer.

In 1990–1994, he studied at the Institutes correspondence postgraduate school, and in 1995, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Modeling of non-isothermal adsorption processes of mylonaft and sulfanol in the porous medium of oil-bearing layers", and received the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. In different years, he worked as a junior research worker, research worker, senior research worker, and leading research worker. Currently, he works as a leading research worker in the "Modeling of Chemical Technological Processes" laboratory of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry. He is an associate professor.

He is the author of 73 scientific works, 48 of them are articles (31 abroad), 25 are theses.

He has repeatedly participated in the grant project that won the competition of the Science Foundation of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
