The Bachelor of Economics is a multidisciplinary full-time curriculum that systematically teaches students the allocation, protection and production of resources along with related organisational structures. The programme includes economic theory, micro and macro-economics, world economy and Azerbaijani economy, finance, audit, banking and management. The purpose of the programme is to acquaint students with economic aspects of modern society and methods of analysis for contemporary economic problems.

Students develop analytical and mathematical skills as well as critical thinking. The main focus is on solving financial and monetary problems. To earn a degree, students complete a pre-diploma internship and defend a dissertation.

Students who successfully complete the programme work in international companies, financial institutions, banks, insurance companies and audit firms.

Career Opportunities

Students majoring in economics can work as economists, mainly in government agencies and other enterprises regardless of the form of ownership. In addition, graduates can work as specialists in production, organisations, departments, enterprises, associations, ministries and committees of the economic bloc, as well as in finance and business regardless of affiliation.
