Western Caspian University Student Wins First Place at the Aerospace Azerbaijan 2026 Startup Competition.
Aysu Maharramova, a third-year student at the School of High Technologies and Innovative Engineering of Western Caspian University, has been awarded First Place (Gold Medal) in the Startup Competition held as part of the Aerospace Modeling Festival – Aerospace Azerbaijan 2026.
The Aerospace Modeling Festival is a national event that brings together young people engaged in aerospace technologies, innovation, and engineering across Azerbaijan. Featuring 12 competition categories, the festival provides participants with an opportunity to present innovative projects, demonstrate their technical knowledge and skills, and establish valuable collaborations with industry representatives and experts.
The AeroSea Guardian project is an artificial intelligence-powered security and inspection platform designed for the autonomous monitoring of strategic facilities located in both aerial and underwater environments. The project integrates an autonomous aerial drone, an underwater inspection robot, and a unified AI-based control platform. By analyzing data collected from various sensors and IoT devices, the system identifies potential risks and delivers real-time alerts to operators, enabling rapid response and enhanced operational safety.
