Elgul Agharzayeva enrolled in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at Baku State University in 2009, specializing in Psychology, and completed her bachelors degree in 2012. In the same year, she was admitted to the masters program in Social Psychology at the Department of Psychology, Baku State University, graduating with honors in 2014. That same year, she began working as an hourly-paid instructor in the Department of Social Psychology at the same university.

She worked there from 2012 to 2015 and subsequently continued her career in various private and public institutions. Between 2015 and 2019, she served as a Human Resources Manager at Vealaser Clinic. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as a specialist in the Administrative Department of the Military Publishing House under the Ministry of Defense. Between 2021 and 2023, she held the position of Specialist in the Human Resources Department at the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population. Additionally, since 2021, she has served as an Evaluating Expert for the “Yüksəliş Competition” project organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Since 2023, she has been employed as a full-time lecturer at the Department of Psychology and Social Work at Western Caspian University.

Elgul Agharzayeva has participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences and trainings, including those organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross, Israels Ariel University, Istanbul University, among others. She is the author of five scientific articles, one thesis, and one translated book.
