School of Psychology
The Psychology program was first introduced as a specialization under the School of Political and Social Sciences in 2011. In 2020, the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Sociology was established within the same school. Since its inception, the department has trained professionals in the fields of Psychology and Social Work. Due to the growing interest in and demand for the discipline, the School of Psychology was officially established in 2024.
At the bachelors level, the School of Psychology offers programs in Psychology, Social Work, and Social-Psychological Services in Education. Instruction is delivered in both Azerbaijani and English. The school also admits international students.
The primary mission of the School is to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required to work effectively in the fields of psychology and social work. To ensure the training of highly qualified professionals, the school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
The academic staff includes professors, doctors of science, PhD holders, highly qualified instructors, as well as internationally experienced scholars and experts invited from various countries.
Faculty members of the Departments of Psychology and Social Work, which operate under the School, actively participate in national and international scientific conferences. They also publish articles in reputable academic journals, including high-impact publications indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science, and similar databases. Additionally, the faculty contributes to the development of course syllabi, methodological materials, textbooks, and teaching manuals.
Since its establishment, the School of Psychology has remained committed to ensuring high-quality education and scientific research, continually striving for academic excellence and innovation.
